-Started playing guitar at 14yrs. old (Influenced by “British Invasion”)
-in and out of bands from 15 to 17 yrs. old (photo )
-didn’t really do anything with respect to music for the next ten years / too busy having a good time, got married and started a family and career
-got back into playing again in the 80’s, learned scales, did a little recording (with Cromdale)
-played at a benefit gig at “Private Eyes” in Highland Creek, in the late 80’s and somehow found myself on stage with Jeff Healy!
-started a band in 1991 with fellow musicians, Joe Zolderdo, Randy Powers and Mike MacInerny (Bak-Trax)
-Bak-Trax played for several years in one form or another, always with Vic and Randy as the constant members of the band, until 2003
-continued to jam with Rand, along with other musicians in and out like a rotating door, until Jeff Stones came by to play bass!
-continued as “Bak-Trax” (three man band) for a couple of years, hosting Sunday open mic at Chicago’s in Oshawa.
-as time went on, Chris Carroll joined the band and we became “Time Well Wasted”
-I continue to play with the band on a regular basis, as well as performing on occasion with “VM Blues”, a rhythm and blues duo

I got my first set of drums at age 12... what were my parents thinking? I taught myself a few beats and then started playing along to songs. I joined my first band in high school "SOUND BARRIER", then I found a bunch of friends that jammed every weekend. I joined bands here and there. I have gone through so many drum kits... from acoustic to electric, I have had them all! I now play a 2012 Ludwig Amber Vistalite kit - this is my last kit, honey!!! Time Well Wasted is a band of good friends playing good music and having a good time.
Cheers, R.

I was born and here I am.
Starting playing bass when I was sixteen, traded it for an electric guitar when I was 19 and taught myself to play. Starting playing in a basement band in 1996 and learn to jam and play and write a variety of music. Bought a bass guitar in 2001 as I forgot how much fun it was, replaced it with my current bass, a 1992 Gibson Les Paul LPB-1 in 2009. Joined Randy and Vic in 2007 and the rest is history.
